I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

I'm sure everyone in the world has heard of failblog.org before me, but I went to check it out today. I can't recommend it wholeheartedly because there is some risqué stuff, but I was skimming through some of the entries, and this little snippet brought me to tears:

Call me sick, but I thought this was hilarious. (I just went back to the site, and you can click on "g-rated pics and movies only". I don't know how this will affect the size of the list.) :))--hey, that's a smiley with a double chin!

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to camp I go.

Not that I post all that regularly, and not that you would pay that much attention anyway, but I'm leaving tomorrow morning (at 5:00 in the a.m.) for a week for Scout camp up near Brianhead in Utah. Rumor has it that the high will be in the 50s, lows in the mid-30s. Can't tell you how excited I am. Add to that a 40% chance nearly every day of rain, and you've pretty much made my week.

Oh, and at Scouts just last week, two of the boys who will be coming got into a fist fight. Joy.

Pray for me.

Bye!

Synchronized Sleeping (1st in a series)

My children share a big double bed we inherited from my grandmother as part of a larger bedroom set. It was just the boy's, but the girl outgrew the crib and she needed a place to sleep, since her room is the "office" (read: room filled with stuff that makes it so we can't use it as a bedroom). Anyhoo, I noticed not too long ago when I'd go in to check on them at night (and occasionally as I look in on them before I leave for work in the morning--school starts at 7:00), that they sometimes sleep in the exact same position. I'm sure this first one is not too thrilling, and I wish I had been more consistent in snapping pictures of them in various stages of sleep, but sometimes it only lasts a short while, and is usually gone before I can find a camera (which, knowing my obsession with cameras, you'd think wouldn't take that long). So, here's the first to what I hope becomes a regular feature:

I am frustrated with my scanner--I would rather not spend most of my life editing out little dots and errant pixels. Grr. That is all.
